Say goodbye to spring fatigue!

With the end of February, winter is also - officially at least - drawing to a close. We are eagerly awaiting the first days of spring and can hardly wait to feel the warming sun on our faces, but somehow we feel tired, exhausted and listless...

Spring fatigue can manifest itself with all these symptoms. But don't worry, you're by no means alone! Spring fatigue is often a companion we hate during this change of season. To help you defy this tiredness, we have put together three tips to help you fight spring fatigue!

Tip 1: Exercise regularly

Exercise is a perennial favourite among our tips, but sport works wonders for spring fatigue in particular: exercise stimulates blood flow and circulation, which boosts the metabolism - the effect: we immediately feel more vital. Of course, you don't have to do extreme sports for this - even small units of exercise during the day have a big impact. Try cycling short distances, incorporating a walk into your daily routine or getting your running shoes out of hibernation. If that's not possible, there are also many different platforms for a wide range of fitness exercises and sports to do at home.

Tip 2: Fresh air

Try to make sure you get plenty of fresh air, especially in spring, to boost your oxygen supply. Ideally, take a walk in the countryside. If you don't have time for this, regular bursts of ventilation will provide you with fresh air. Just five minutes away from us by car, you can immerse yourself in the fresh mountain air on the Muttereralm. The perfect combination of exercise and fresh air. But we also offer the perfect ambience for a relaxing day in the fresh air on our cosy terrace. Recharging your batteries in the sun is great fun!

Tip 3: The right diet

In winter, we eat more heavy dishes such as soups and stews, as they are supposed to warm us up during the cold winter months. However, these can make our bodies feel heavy and sluggish. To combat springtime fatigue, light dishes with lots of vitamins and healthy wholemeal products are particularly suitable. Very fatty and highly processed foods should be removed from your diet. How about a healthy dandelion salad in combination with colourful oven vegetables? Or homemade wild garlic pesto with wholemeal pasta?

Adequate water intake is of course also part of a proper diet - every adult should drink two to two and a half litres a day and can make a big difference. Those who are reluctant to drink water can also opt for unsweetened herbal teas.

We hope that our spring tips will help you and contribute to an uncomplicated and carefree start to the new season. We look forward all the more to welcoming you here with us to counteract spring fatigue together!
