Experience Mother Nature
Would you like to spend your holiday in a village with typical Tyrolean flair? Then the municipality of Mutters is just the right choice for you. As soon as you drive through the village, you will notice that an idyllic Tyrolean townscape with historic buildings has been preserved along the village street. Old, splendid farmhouses with colourful floral decorations are only seen in local films? No, that's not true! Tradition is still very important in Mutters and the beautiful houses decorated with flowers have already helped the municipality to win the title of "Tyrol's most beautiful village". But Mutters is not only beautiful to look at - there is also plenty on offer culturally. Those interested in history should visit the "Schupfenwirt" in Mutters. This is where Andreas Hofer, leader of the Tyrolean uprising, had his headquarters in 1809. But there is also always something going on in Mutters when it comes to events. Whether it's concerts or other celebrations and festivals - in tradition-conscious Mutters, merry togetherness is a top priority.

Active holiday in Mutters

The Mutters leisure centre also offers a varied summer programme. In addition to the family pool, the village is also home to a tennis court and both hikers and cyclists will find numerous different routes here. Whether it's a family holiday, a holiday in the mountains or a holiday with friends - fun for young and old is guaranteed in Mutters. But there is not only plenty to discover down in the valley, there is also plenty to experience when you take the cable car up to the local mountain Mutterer Alm below the 2,404 metre high Nockspitze. In summer, a large hiking area with unique views of the wonderful Tyrolean mountain panorama opens up to holidaymakers here. But mountain bikers don't miss out here either. The Bikepark Innsbruck on the Muttereralm currently has five trails and a bike practice area. There is also a dual speed & slopestyle course and a pump track in the valley area in Mutters. The family-friendly "The Simple One" and the trail "The Chainless One" are easier options for getting from the mountain station to the valley. The trail "The First One" promises fun for every biker, whether beginner or expert. Action-seekers are also well catered for on the Mutterer Alm. The closed-off mountain cart track is a fast, yet safe, 5 km ride from the mountain station down to the valley station. The mountain cart track is closed off and separate from the hiking trail. Safety is the top priority with the carts: the dual-circuit braking system - as used in cars - and safety fences, barriers and, of course, a crash helmet ensure safety during the ride.
As you can see, there is plenty to experience and discover in the municipality of Mutters, both down in the valley and high up on the mountain. We hope that we have been able to give you a brief overview of the wide-ranging summer programme and look forward to your visit.
