But our recipe is anything but run-of-the-mill: our wine soup recipe is something very special, as it was created by our head chef Martin. Martin's master tip
To make wine soup, you will need the following ingredients:
- 2 onions
- 0.5 litre white wine
- 1-2 floury potatoes
- 250 ml cream
- 0.5 litre water
And this is how it works:
Step 1:
Firstly, peel and dice the onions and potatoes. Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the finely diced onions in it. Then add the raw potato pieces and sauté on all sides in the pan.
Step 2:
Deglaze the onions and potatoes with white wine and simmer for about 15 minutes. Then add the water and cream and simmer the soup for a few more minutes.
Step 3:
Now flavour the soup to your liking. In addition to salt and pepper, a little nutmeg and a pinch of cinnamon are particularly suitable.
Step 4:
When the potatoes are cooked, it is time to puree the soup with a hand blender. Depending on what consistency you prefer, you can strain the wine soup before serving.
Step 5:
Pour the soup into a soup plate, garnish with herbs and croutons et voila - your delicious wine soup is ready.
We hope you enjoy cooking and wish you BON APPÉTIT!
