Get out into the fresh air!

Now that we are getting closer and closer to spring (weather), the good weather should no longer be an exception, but the rule. The first flowers are already blooming and it's wonderfully warm outside. What could be nicer than spending the day in nature and getting as much fresh air as possible? Our hotel is located in one of the most beautiful and idyllic corners of Tyrol - the perfect location for a lovely, long walk! Today we show you the three most beautiful walking routes around Mutters!

The first walk starts at the Muttereralm, which can be reached by car from the hotel in just five minutes. The destination of the walk is the Götzen Alm round from Neu Götzens. There are many wonderful highlights to discover along the way, which are sure to amaze young and old alike. During the walk, you will pass the panoramic lake of the Muttereralm, which rewards nature lovers with a fabulous view: a deep blue lake, unspoilt green areas and the mountains with snow-covered peaks. Another highlight is the Bäumelhäuser, where a narrow, fenced path winds its way through the majestic trees, offering an excellent view of the dark green forest. For a change, the path is not on the ground but a few metres above the ground. This makes the walk varied and exciting for children, who become little explorers themselves! As we all know, fresh air also makes you hungry! Fortunately, there are two excellent mountain huts along the way where you can quench your hunger and thirst so that you can continue exploring well-fuelled and satiated. We also recommend checking out the mountain carts at the Munterer Alm, which guarantee a high fun factor. The mountain carts work like a kettcar, only instead of pedals you have footrests and brakes are attached to the left and right of the handlebars. Then just put on your helmet and off you go on your adventure!

Our second walking recommendation starts in Mutters Kreith: after the first few hundred metres, you will come across the old tram bridge near Kreith - a spectacular structure that is well worth taking a short break to take a look at. The metal giant is an interesting break in the green, otherwise unspoilt nature and is reminiscent of the picturesque train lines we know from television. The rest of the walk takes you through the Stockerhof, where you pass a raging waterfall whose roar is reminiscent of wild seas. Finally, the walk ends at Alpengasthof Stockerhof, where you can stop for a refreshing drink and dessert or a savoury meal. With a view of the mountains, you can soak up the Alpine feeling along with the green landscapes and enjoy the warming rays of sunshine - a perfect end to the day.

Our last suggestion is a little more challenging, both in terms of length and conditions. This walk takes the longest at two hours and 45 minutes and does not require any special equipment, but you should already have some basic fitness and experience - but don't worry: you will be rewarded with wonderful views and beautiful panoramas! We promise. The starting point is in Mutters Kreith. After a short walk, you will reach the point where the previous walk ended: the Stockerhof alpine inn. The walk takes you past the Telfer Wiesen nature reserve, where green meadows and blue skies stretch as far as the eye can see. The mountain scenery is also worthwhile from this vantage point - because you have a fantastic view of the Patscherkofel. Before returning to the starting point, the trail passes the old tram bridge at Kreith.

We hope you enjoy exploring the surroundings of Hotel dasMEI****! We look forward to welcoming you back to our hotel after a long walk.
