You only need a few ingredients for this and it can be prepared in no time at all. The star of the show: your homemade blueberry syrup, whose vibrant colour is guaranteed to make you fall in love immediately. Thanks to the blueberry syrup, the cocktail is perfect for parties because you can prepare the syrup well in advance.

Of course, we don't want to keep you in suspense any longer and will now tell you how you can easily make the berry-sweet blueberry gin fizz yourself. Let's get started!

You will need the following ingredients for the homemade blueberry syrup:

- 220 g sugar
- 120 ml water
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 120 g frozen blueberries

This is how it works:

Place the sugar and water in a pan and heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Then add the lemon zest and the frozen blueberries. Boil for approx. 10 minutes and then finely puree the blueberries. When the mixture thickens a little, carefully pour the blueberry syrup through a fine sieve. The syrup can then be poured into a sealable jar. Tip: The blueberry syrup will keep well sealed in the fridge for approx. 1 week

To the recipe: Blueberry gin fizz

To prepare the cocktail using the homemade blueberry syrup, you will need the following ingredients:

- 2 ice cubes
- 3 cl gin
- 160 ml soda
- 3 cl blueberry syrup
- Fresh blueberries and lemon slices as decoration

This is how it works:

Place the ice cubes in a glass. Then pour in the homemade syrup and add the gin and sparkling soda water. Garnish with fresh blueberries and lemon slices and your homemade blueberry gin fizz is ready!
