You will need the following ingredients to make a pumpkin spice latte:
- Coffee (1 cup)
- Pumpkin puree (3 tablespoons)
- Milk of your choice - whole milk, almond milk, coconut milk, etc. (1/2 - 1 cup)
- Cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
- Vanilla extract (1/2 teaspoon)
- Nutmeg (1/4 teaspoon)
- Sweetener of choice - stevia, cane sugar or maple syrup (1-2 teaspoons)
For all those who don't want to do without the cream on top - here is the healthier alternative. You will need the following ingredients:
- Tinned coconut cream (1/4 cup)
- Sweetener of choice - stevia, cane sugar or maple syrup (1-2 teaspoons)
- Vanilla extract (1/8 teaspoon)
- A pinch of cinnamon

And this is how it works
- Place the coffee, milk and pumpkin puree in a saucepan on the hob over a medium heat. Heat for 7-10 minutes and continue stirring until the puree has melted into the coffee and milk.
- Add all the other ingredients and stir for 2-3 minutes. Pour the latte into a mug and leave to cool for a while.
- Blend the coconut cream, vanilla extract and sweetener either in a blender or with a hand mixer until a frothy consistency is achieved. This should take no longer than a minute, pour the cream over the latte and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon.
