Delicious and healthy: the best oatmeal recipes
Recipe 1: Porridge
Who doesn't know this breakfast favourite? For a classic porridge, oat flakes are cooked with water, milk or plant milk to make a porridge. This makes them even easier to digest and can be enjoyed as a stomach-friendly breakfast. Homemade porridge is particularly fresh and rich in vitamins if it is garnished with fresh fruit and nuts, for example.
How about a delicious apple strudel porridge? Here is our recipe!
You will need the following ingredients for one portion of the apple strudel porridge:
- 1 Apple
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 180 ml milk of your choice
- 40 g oat flakes
- Cinnamon / cinnamon sugar
- Optional nuts and dried fruit as a topping

And this is how it works:
- Halve the apple and cut into pieces.
- Place the rolled oats and half of the sliced apple in a pan with the milk and a pinch of cinnamon and bring to the boil briefly. Leave to simmer over a low heat, stirring constantly.
- Optionally, add a dash of milk or water to achieve the desired consistency.
- Sprinkle the remaining apple with a little cinnamon sugar and fry in a pan.
- Garnish with nuts and dried fruit and enjoy!
Recipe 2: Patties
May we introduce: Patties 2.0! With rolled oats and grated vegetables, vegetarian meatballs are easy to make and taste great with a colourful salad or crispy potato wedges. Try it out and discover the savoury side of oatmeal for yourself!
You will need the following ingredients for 8 small oatmeal patties:
- 150 g rolled oats (tender)
- 100 g carrots
- 1/2 pepper (red)
- 1 red onion
- 100 ml water (boiling)
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
And this is how it works:
- Peel and finely grate the carrots. Peel the onion and finely dice together with the pepper. Then place everything in a bowl and add the oats.
- Now add the spices and mix briefly. Then add the water and stir vigorously, then leave to infuse for approx. 10-15 minutes.
- With moistened hands, shape the mixture into approx. 8 patties of the same size and fry in a hot pan with sufficient oil on both sides until crispy.
- Serve and enjoy!
Recipe 3: Pancakes
What could be better than delicious pancakes on a Sunday? How great that there is also a healthier version! Oat flakes can be used to make delicious pancakes that taste great for young and old alike. No flour is used at all, so the pancakes are particularly rich in fibre and minerals.
Here is our basic pancake recipe, which can easily be supplemented with other ingredients!
You will need the following ingredients for four oatmeal pancakes:
- 1 ripe banana
- 100 g rolled oats
- 150 to 200 ml (plant-based) milk

And this is how it works:
- Peel the banana and cut into small pieces.
- Place the banana pieces, rolled oats and some of the milk in a tall container and blend thoroughly until creamy.
- Add the rest of the milk so that the pancake batter is neither too firm nor too runny.
- Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the pancakes over a medium heat. You should fry the pancake for about two to three minutes on each side.
- Garnish as desired and enjoy!
