Oh Christmas tree

... or rather Oh cheese and spinach pastry tree. Today we're showing you a super tasty recipe for a very special dish that you can use to spice up any Christmas table. And best of all, it's quick and easy!

You need:

  • 1 ready-made pizza dough
  • 340 grams spinach
  • 170 grams cream cheese
  • 65 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 130 g grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chilli powder

And this is how it's done:

Preheat the oven to 200° fan. Mix the cream cheese and spinach in a bowl. Now season the mixture with the garlic, salt, onion powder and chilli powder. Now add the Parmesan and half of the mozzarella/cheddar.

Now roll out the pizza dough and cut it into three triangles. The two smaller triangles are now placed together so that they are the same size as the centre one. Spread the filling evenly over the two joined pieces and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the mixture. Now place the other piece of dough on top and cover the whole thing.

Now cut the branches into the tree. Take care not to cut too far into the centre of the trunk so that the tree does not break later. Now the individual branches just need to be twisted into place and the tree is placed in the oven for approx. 20 minutes.

It can then be brushed with melted butter as desired.

Then it's just a case of: into the kitchen - ready - go!
