Bar tip: Make your own orange mojito

"When life gives you lemons ... exchange them for oranges."

That's exactly what we do when it comes to our bar tip, the tangy orange mojito: the acidity of the limes is simply swapped for the sweetness of the oranges. The refreshing orange mojito is guaranteed to sweeten up many an evening with friends and bring that summer feeling into autumn. We'll tell you how you can easily make this fruity orange mojito yourself.

You need:

  • - approx. 100 ml orange lemonade
  • - 3 cl rum (brown)
  • - 1 Orange
  • - 1 organic lime
  • - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • - 3 mint leaves
  • - Crushed ice
  • - Mortar

This is how it works:

1. Firstly, wash the lime and orange with warm water. Quarter the lime and cut the orange into eighths so that you have small slices of fruit.

2. Place 1-2 lime wedges, 1-2 orange wedges, the mint and a tablespoon of brown sugar in a glass and crush the ingredients with a mortar.

3. Now fill the glass with the crushed ice. Then add 3 cl of the brown rum and top up the rest of the glass with the orangeade. If you like, you can garnish the cocktail with lime or orange wedges.

And that's it - the cocktail is ready to enjoy. As you can see, you can make the fruity orange mojito quickly and easily at home. The drink not only looks inviting, it also tastes fabulous and brings summer back into your living room with its fruity, fresh flavour. We hope you enjoy making your own and say Cheers!
