Baking makes you happy

... and even happier when baked in a reasonably healthy way! Simple, quick and still super tasty. These American oatmeal cookies are not only very quick to prepare, you also only need ingredients that are usually available at home anyway.

You need

140 gram oat flakes

120 grams soft butter

120 gram flour

110 grams of sugar

  70 grams of chocolate drops

    1 egg

    1 teaspoon baking powder

   ¼ teaspoon salt

   ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation

Beat the soft butter with the sugar until fluffy. Then stir in the egg and add all the other dry ingredients except for the chocolate chips. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips and chill the batter for about half an hour. Preheat the oven to 190° top and bottom heat. Take small portions of dough with a spoon, shape them into small balls by hand and then place them on a baking tray with sufficient space between them and flatten them a little. Bake the cookies for about 10-13 minutes. After 10 minutes, the oatmeal cookies still look very soft, but they will harden slightly as they cool. So don't let this fool you.

Alternatively, the tasty cookies can also be refined with sultanas or other treats.
