The best way to create a creamy smoothie base is to combine fresh fruit with frozen fruit, such as frozen bananas, and add yoghurt or milk. These ingredients make the smoothie mixture particularly creamy and refreshing. If you prefer a slightly thicker consistency, you can also add seeds to the smoothie base. You will need the following ingredients for 2 portions:

- 1 banana
- 200 g mango
- 150 g mixed berries (frozen)
- 2 dates
- 100 ml unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tbsp almonds
- 2 tbsp coconut chips

 

And this is how it works:

1 Peel the banana and mango and cut into pieces.

2. put some of the banana and mango to one side for decoration. Puree the rest together with the mixed berries, dates and almond milk in a blender.

3. add the chia seeds and leave to swell for 15 minutes.

4 Divide the smoothie base between two bowls. Garnish with the pieces of fruit, almonds and coconut chips.
