After an action-packed day in the snow, you need one thing above all: a delicious drink that warms you up from the inside. What could be better than a delicious Maple Cinnamon Latte? The hot drink not only warms you up, but also tastes great in the cold season. We reveal how you can combine your coffee with maple syrup, ground cinnamon, vanilla and foamed milk to create a warming and delicious winter treat.
The winter drink par excellence: Maple Cinnamon Latte
You will need the following ingredients for a cup of Maple Cinnamon Latte:
- 1/4 cup hot espresso or strongly brewed coffee
- 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup frothed milk
And this is how it works:
1. Place the maple syrup, vanilla extract and cinnamon in the bottom of a large cup.
2. Add the hot espresso and mix with the other ingredients.
3. Boil the milk, stirring constantly with a whisk, until milk foam forms.
4. Now hold the cup with the flavoured coffee slightly to one side at a 45˚ angle and slowly pour in the frothed milk. Top up the cup with the boiled milk and garnish the drink with the frothed milk.
5. Decorate the milk foam with an extra pinch of cinnamon or a few delicious sprinkles et voilà - your homemade Maple Cinnamon Latte is ready to serve.
